Practice makes perfect, and yet you guys really need it

Here I am once again, and today, I shall be looking at perhaps one of the newest Emocore and Pop Rock bands, which gain the hearts of millions of teenagers and pollutes shops like 'Hot Topic' (For those who don't live in the United States, Hot Topic is chain store with numerous locations around the states and Puerto Rico wich revolve in Emo, Gothic, Punk, Indie, and gamer clothing. It is different from Spencers, as it is less adult oriented, and at the same time more cleaner with most of the product). This band is called 'Cute is what we aim for', your completely average Emocore band, and this one, sadly enough, is almost like the other 80% of the rest of the emocore and alternative rock bands.

Recently releasing thier newest single 'Practice makes perfect' on MTV2, I really had a challenging time of whether choosing to talk about the band 'Boys like Girls' with their newest single 'Thunder' as I hate it as much as this one, 'Practice makes perfect' is indeed, a more recently released single, being released on June 20. The band is consisted of 'Tom Falcone' (Drums), 'Shaan Hacikyan' (Vocals), Geff Czum (Guitar, Piano), and Dave Melillo (Bass, Vocals).

Something that I just hate about this single, is just how indentically it sounds to almost every single emocore band from the last few years (About two years back, basically) and that it just attracts little teenagers into liking it, since in reality, is a very easy listening type of band. I would have atleast apreaciate it if would sound like more like an amazing emocore band, which lyrics and sound really mimic the emo, being called 'Matchbook Romance' (Not My Chemical Romance, by the by).

The music video, in terms of quality and plot, is indeed very impressive comparing them to other musicians and bands. Nontheless, a bit obnoxious, and really looks more like a preppy fest rather than an emo party. The music video revolves around all the band members being in a party and hanging out, drinking, taking illegal substances, fighting, and cheating on women. Really ironic how considering how happy the song actually is.

This band attracts more preppy teenagers, rather than emo teenagers, because of its strong influences from Power Pop and Pop Rock. And if you are an emo, and you want to get to know more bands, this is one is one you'll have to ignore. If you want good emo bands, check out 'The Used' and 'Matchbook Romance'. Flyleaf works wonders as well, even though I'm not very fond of it.
